It has been said that Michael Mancienne is destined to become the natural successor of Rio Ferdinand for England in the Future. He has recently been promoted from the England under 21 team to the senior squad.
He has been on loan at wolves of recent and anyone that is anyone has had nothing but good words of encouragement to say about Mancienne. He is obviously doing something correct in order to attract the attention of Fabio Capello.
There is a similarity between him and Rio Ferdinand both in his attitude and also his style of play. He reads the game very well indeed
